The Renault Gang of Dusters heads to Nepal for the first of the Iconic Passion drives

A lookback at GoD’s drive through the

picturesqu­e locales of Nepal

TTHE RENAULT GANG OF Dusters has been growing from strength to strength and with the gang getting even more enthusiast­ic about taking their SUVs to unexplored places, Renault scaled up the G.O.D activities to include iconic drives. The first ever Iconic Passion Drive to Nepal was a nineday internatio­nal drive covering a distance of close to 1400km. The drive was flagged off from Lucknow and took the participan­ts through Chitwan, Kathmandu, Pokhra and Lumbini, and then back to Lucknow. The drive marks the completion of four years of Renault’s Gang of Dusters.

Renault organises the Gang of Dusters events all over the country, throughout the year. The drives take the participan­ts through some of the harshest terrain in the country and gets them face to face with adventure that they’d never experience in their urban environs. The Duster is an SUV fit for the challenges that it faces through its journey across countries. The G.O.D members have to contend with harsh weather, tough terrain and a demanding drive that is a real test for the mind and the body. The Iconic Passion Drive is of special importance to the G.O.D members as these are the drives that take them across borders. The first Iconic Passion drive took G.O.Ds to the happiest country in the world – Bhutan. This time, however, the drive took a turn towards Nepal from Lucknow.
