Bazaar’sr annual Christmas do has become a permanent part of the season’s festive calendar—and this year Bazaar teamed up with Salvatore Ferragamo, to host 30 of Delhi’s chicest ladies at a brunch at Emporio’s Set’z. And it was a perfect Friday afternoon on the terrace— sunny and clear. Three tables had been done up in red and white flowers, with touches of gold, to give the place a feel of Christmas cheer. The first to walk in was the always-on-time Payal Jain, wearing a touch of red; she said, “I thought I was going to be late,” but with Delhi’s most stylish women, being fashionably delayed is de rigueur. She was soon joined by Gayatri Vachani and her sister Jaishu Uttamchandani, as well as Payal Sen. Payal looked lovely in a purple tweed jacket and dress that she’d designed herself. Ferragamo’s Karen Wilson Kumar also went for majestic purple and Latika Khaneja teamed her grey ensemble with purple pumps and a purple bag. “Looks like it’s going to be a purple Christmas,” said India Today COO Mala Sekhri.

Sipping away on Moët and choosing what to eat from the scrumptious spread (the Set’z elaborate buffet included traditional Christmas fare as well as sushi, dim sum, and a huge array of salads) kept many of the women busy. And before they knew it, it was tea-time—“i need to get to a high tea,” said Tanisha Mohan. But then, it is the season to indulge—and even as they left with Ferragamo goody bags, the women were discussing the next party!
