BOTTEGA VENETA launches its second store in the Capital

-

As Bottega Veneta’s second store in New Delhi opened at The Oberoi, Gurgaon on a clear December evening, Bazaar celebrated the launch with a champagne and canapé cocktail. Everyone was in the mood to make merry, and conversation centred mostly on plans for the season. Designer Nayantara Sood, actor-turned-fashion designer Jas Arora, and über-chic couple Manek and Kiran Jhangiani were among the first to arrive. Kiran looked striking in her striped Missoni dress, while Manek had chosen to wear a jacket and shaded blue scarf by Bottega. Bazaarr editor Sujataujata Assomull Sippy came in beige and black, and was joined by Alina Vadera and Pernia Qureshi who were attired in similar dresses from Bottega Veneta's Resort 2011 collection. Alina came with her mother, Bindu Vadera, who was dressed up in a black Varun Bahl sari. “I have a formal event to attend after this, and that’s why I am wearing a sari!”she exclaimed, as she was spotted talking to India Today COO Mala Sekhri. The bag of the night had to be the Bottega Knot! Soni Aggarwal took a fancy to the hot pink Intrecciato Knot clutch, and Ramola Bachchan checked out a brown Cabat. “It’s perfect for work,” she said. The conversation got merrier, and as the champagne flowed, guests continued to trickle in until late. Making a late entry were Ajay and Selena Bijli. As Ajay chatted with Genesis Luxury MD Sanjay Kapoor, Selena, dressed in a leopard print dress, looked around the store. And the cocktails soon turned into dinner, as many opted to hop across to threesixtyone for some late-night supper!
