Jewellery behemoth Rose’s muse SHEETAL VAIDYA on her kind of chic

- As told to Krishna Mukhi

YOUR SENSE OF STYLE

It’s a blend of the current and the classic. Style is also very individualistic. It isn’t restricted to what I wear or carry, but also to the way I live my life. As my husband (Biren Vaidya, MD of The Rose Group that specialises in high-end jewellery) always says that my style statement should enhance my beauty and bring a smile on his face every time he sees me.

FAVOURITE ACCESSORIES

I love bags and shoes, and it’s difficult to choose a favourite. When it comes to bags, there is no particular brand. I like them all! Depending on the design and style, I choose what I like. It could be anything from a Prada to a Louis Vuitton, Bulgari or Fendi, Alexander McQueen or Miu Miu. In shoes, it does not have to be a brand per se, as some of the best shoes I have are from small private artisans in Italy and Spain. But I also possess some lovely pairs from Jimmy Choo and Louis Vuitton.

JEWELLERY BOX

I love the jewellery that my husband designs, as it perfectly complements everything I wear, whether Western or Indian. He says that I am his muse, and love all the jewellery that he designs for Rose. That said, my favourite piece is a Columbian emerald ring that Biren designed for me.

BEAUTY MANTRA

Eat, pray, and love is my secret. I’m extremely regimental about what I eat and regularly practice my yoga and meditation, besides my work-outs. I love my family, my children, my friends. I believe in very minimalistic makeup, and my beauty essentials are just my liner, blush, and lipstick.
