Khattar govt frames new road safety policy

CHANDIGARH: The Haryana government has formulated a new road safety policy which aims at bringing down the number of deaths and that of the injured in road accidents up to 50% by 2025, taking 2015 as the base year.

A spokesman for the transport department said on Friday that the policy for better road safety management would be jointly implemented by the police, public works (building and roads), education and health departments. HTC
