Phanindra Sama, founder, left after Ibibo.com bought the firm. Sama’s leadership was different, hands-off, while the Ibibo’s wanted to run it in a different way, as a part of a larger entity.

Rahul Yadav, co-founder, was ousted by board and investors. Yadav wrote a letter to the media making fun of a rumoured acquisitio­n of Housing, which didn’t go down well with the investors.

Pravin Sinha and co-founders left after Rocket Internet took control. Sinha ran Jabong as a single entity, but the investor wanted it to be a part of a global entity, called Global Fashion Group.

FashionAnd­You Pearl Uppal, co-founder and CEO quit in 2012. Uppal was responsibl­e for the rise of the firm, but in 2012, there were rumours of Amazon entering India, which changed the market. DealsAndYo­u

Gaurav Kachru, co-founder and CEO, quit soon after Ryan Valles became CEO. Kachru left soon after he was replaced by another CEO, and was made the head of developmen­t and strategy.

TaxiForSur­e Ola

Raghunanda­n G, co-founder quit after Ola took over management. After the Uber rape incident in Delhi, TaxiForSur­e was unable to raise the capital, and have to eventually sell it.

Avnish Bajaj, co-founder, left after the company got acquired. Bajaj continued as the CEO of Ebay India for a while, and later quit on personal grounds
