Malegaon blasts (2006)

CASE: Four blasts took place outside A mosque in Malegaon in September, killing 38 people. PROBE: The Maharashtr­a ATS And CBI Chargeshee­ted nine Muslims. Samjhauta blasts (2007)

CASE: Explosions took place near Dewana railway station in panipat, killing 68 people, mostly from Pakistan, on february 18 night. The train was on its way to lahore from delhi.

PROBE: The nia has filed chargeshee­t against 8 people, one of whom is dead, 2 at large status: Trial is on

Ajmer dargah blast (2007)

CASE: a tiffin bomb exploded on october 11 during ramzan at the ajmer sharif dargah, killing three and injuring 12. three more bombs recovered later.

PROBE: 3 of the 13 missing; one sunil joshi is dead

STATUS: a jaipur court on march 8 convicted three but let off aseemanand and six others

Sunil Joshi murder (2007)

CASE: former rss functionar­y sunil joshi shot dead

PROBE: nia handed over case to mp police, alleged he was killed by his men

STATUS: all eight accused, including pragya singh thakur, acquitted

Mecca masjid blast (2007)

CASE: An IED blast in mecca masjid area on may 18 killed 14.

PROBE: the cbi arrested aseemanad. after filing its first charge sheet, the cbi handed over the case to nia

STATUS: trial is on.

Malegaon and Modasa blasts (2008)

CASE: explosions in malegaon and modasa on sept 29

PROBE: pragya singh thakur and serving army official prasad srikant purohit arrested

STATUS: nia dropped charges against thakur and closed modasa blast case
