To attain inner peace, one must look inward

There is a famous quote by Mahatma Gandhi — “Each one has to find his peace from within. And peace to be real must be unaffected by outside circumstances”.

The very word “peace” has an important value in our lives. Over and above if we talk about inner peace, it has an in- depth meaning.

There are some who relate these words to spirituality, while others relate them to the feeling of contentment. Contentment makes one feel satisfied with what one possesses and happiness is directly associated with the feeling of contentment.

So far as spirituality is concerned, it’s a broad concept.

There are many who try to overcome difficulties and try to give their best in the quest for inner peace. Eventually, they reach that level where two words become key in their life — expectation and acceptance. They shirk from the word expectation and start believing in “whatever comes, let it come”. This prepares them for the test of life.

Inner peace is achieved the day when one starts realising the importance of life. The real purpose of our life is to do our best. Rather, this should be our priority and we could continue to follow our dreams. At the same time don’t let others influence your behavior — let go and keep calm to make your soul peaceful.

One should try to inhale positivity and exhale negativity to achieve inner peace. Furthermore, believing in the almighty and subjecting your trust in him completely, during good and bad times, gives one the strength that is a gateway to achieving inner peace.
