UNDERTRIAL SHOT DEAD NEAR JHAJJAR COURT

A murder undertrial was shot dead by two assailants outside the court premises in Jhajjar on Wednesday. The deceased, Rajeev alias Kala, ex-sarpanch of Asauda Sewan village, had been brought to court hearing of murder case of a sarpanch and his father in July 2016. Police said when they were about to take hm inside court, two men opened fire at him. He was rushed to Civil Hospital, from where he referred to PGIMS, Rohtak but died on the way. Police managed to catch the assailants— Rohit and Sikandar— who tried to run away.
