OTHER HIGH-PROFILE MURDERS IN DHANBAD

SURESH SINGH, 2011

Four unidentified men shot Congress leader and coal merchant Suresh Singh at Dhanbad Club. In the FIR, Suresh Singh’s father Tejnarain Singh accused Sanjeev Singh (now BJP’s Jharia MLA) and others of murdering his son.

SAKALDEO SINGH, 1999

Assailants intercepted coal trader Sakaldeo Singh’s vehicle at Heerak Road in Dhanbad and opened fire, killing him on the spot. Ramadhir Singh and his brother Bachcha were accused in the killng but were later acquitted.

BINOD SINGH, 1996

Assailants shot coal trade union leader and trader Binod Singh, and his driver Mannu Ansari. Ramadhir Singh, uncle of both Jharia MLA Sanjeev Singh and slain Neeraj Singh, was convicted in the case. Ramadhir Singh is serving a life sentence.
