MAN KILLS WIFE, THREE CHILDREN, ATTEMPTS SUICIDE

ROHTAK: : Barely a week after a woman drowned her three children and attempted suicide after a tiff with her drunk husband in Jhajjar, a man in Mahendergarh murdered his wife and three little children in the wee hours of Thursday.

Police said accused Radhe Shyam, who suspected his wife Manju had illicit relationship with another man, brutally murdered her by banging an iron rod on her head and then mutilated her body with a knife.

On early Thursday morning, he discreetly cremated his wife’s body. He then came back home and drowned their two daughters — Khushi, 7, and Tamanna, 5 — and a son Naitik, 2, in a water tank.

Later, he attempted suicide by jumping into a well. However, some villagers saw him jumping and immediately pulled him out. The villagers informed the police about the matter.

The cops later reached the village and found out about the murder of his wife. The police also retrieved the bodies of the three children from the water tank and took them to the hospital, where they were declared brought dead.

Narnaul SP Hamid Akhtar said the accused was admitted to hospital, where his condition was safe.

“We have informed the parents of the woman. They are on their way from Ahmedabad. We will register a case against the man and arrest him once we get the complaint.

Initially, we have learnt that Radhe Shyam suspected that his wife had an illicit relationship with another man due to which the couple often indulged in quarrels. We will find out the truth after his arrest,” Akhtar said.
