State to have emergency response centre
The Haryana government on Wednesday decided to set up a centralised state emergency response centre (CSERC) at police headquarters in Panchkula to swiftly deal with all type of emergency complaints. Stating that the service would be launched by chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on the birth anniversary of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya on September 25, an official release said a decision to this effect was taken in a meeting headed by Khattar here. The CSERC would provide for a centralised telephone number for all types of emergency complaints concerning police, fire, health and road accidents. The people could request this service by dialling 100 or 112 through mobile or landline.
