ROHTAK: Controversial BJP MP from Kurukshetra, Raj Kumar Saini, on Sunday hinted at floating a new party, saying he was not a slave of the Bharatiya Janata Party. The MP was addressing a gathering at the old sugarmills ground in Rohtak where he made the statement.

“For me, the decision of my public is final. If they ask, I will form a new party as well,” Saini said, while announcing to hold a “grand rally” in Jind in November this year.

The Kurukshetra MP, who has been sidelined by his own partymen over his comments against Jat quota that often brew trouble for the BJP, had been maintaining that he was not interested in floating new outfit for a long time.

Sending confusing messages, he went on to praise Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his speech on the completion of three years regime at the Centre.

“India is shining brighter in the world under the leadership of PM Modi. There has been no instance of corruption,” he said.

Taking a dig at the Jat community, Saini said that if reservation was granted by just blockading roads and using force, then there was no need of courts in the country.

He once again advocated reservation for all communities as per their share of population in the country.

He also attacked former chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda for “misleading the state’s residents on reservation to fulfil his own political motives”.

Calling the Rajya Sabha unnecessary, Saini said the upper house should be scrapped as it only works to block decisions taken by the people-elected members of the Lok Sabha.
