Govt plans strategic sale of Dredging Corp of India
The government is planning an outright sale of Dredging Corp of India Ltd through auction, which could fetch about ₹1,400 crore to the exchequer. Besides, there is a proposal to sell 100% government holding in four unlisted companies—Kamarajar Port Ltd, HLL Lifecare Ltd, Indian Medicines & Pharmaceutical Corp. Ltd, and Karnataka Antibiotics and Pharmaceuticals Ltd. According to people in know of the matter, the core group of secretaries on disinvestment, headed by the cabinet secretary, has approved the sale of these five companies.
