Multani Mal Modi College is synonymous with academic excellence. This College is a multi-faculty, co-educational Post Graduate institution established by Padam Bhushan, Rai Bahadur Seth Gujjar Mal Modi, in the fond memory of his illustrious father, Rai Bahadur Seth Multani Mal Modi in Sept. 1966. The magnanimous and enlightened Managing Committee of the college is headed by its visionary Chairman Seth Sudarshan Kumar Modi. The College offers 12 UG courses in Commerce, Humanities, Science, Computer Science, Business Management, 10 PG Courses and 2 B.Voc. Courses for more than 5000 students. UGC sponsored Add on Courses in Spoken English, Journalism and Mass Communication and Computerized Accounting are also offered. Besides these courses, Finishing School Programme, an exclusively in-house-developed course that aims to enhance the employability quotient of the outgoing students, is being run. Facilities for Advanced Learning and Research are also available. The College has been placed among the best Science and Commerce institutions of Northern India by The Tribune in its survey 'Guide to Best Colleges' (14.04.2017). The old students of the college Modiites - occupy positions of eminence in all walks of life. The College has a modern building having 58 rooms, 6 Computer Labs, 14 Science Labs, 2 Research Labs, 1 Digital Language Lab and a Central Instrumentation Lab. The Computerized Library houses more than 61,000 books including some rare books. There is an ultra modern Indoor Gymnasium and a Lawn Tennis Court in the campus. 19 research students are pursuing research work for Ph.D. under the able guidance of our teachers. Our students have got 33 merit positions including 4 first positions and 2 Gold Medals in 2015-16 University Examinations. Besides NSS and NCC, the college has national achievements in cultural activities to its credit. Our sportspersons have bagged 26 University Championships and got runners up in 14 competitions. They have also made achievements in 8 International and 30 National events. The College has also bagged University Overall Sports Championship.
