Four minor siblings succumb to injuries

The four minor siblings, who were injured in an LPG cylinder blast at Dayalpur village of Kurukshetr­a district on Thursday, succumbed to their injuries at Post Graduate Institute of Medical Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, on Friday.

The deceased have been identified as 17-year-old twins Reena and Meena, Rajni (14) and Gaurav (12).Their mother Resho Devi, who also sustained burns, is currently critical and is undergoing treatment at PGIMER in Chandigarh.

The incident took place when Resho Devi was preparing tea at 7am on Thursday. Suddenly the fire spread to the entire house,” Dayalpur village sarpanch Rajesh Kumar said.

“Resho’s husband Jasbeer Singh works is currently working in Kuwait and I have informed him about the tragedy,” he said. Following the blast, all the injured were rushed to the Kurukshetr­a civil hospital from where they were referred to PGIMER.
