Germany to Turkey: Don’t meddle in religious affairs

BERLIN : Berlin on Friday warned Ankara against interfering in how people in Germany practised their religion, as a new row erupted over a new “liberal” mosque. Diyanet, which oversees religious activity in Turkey, had voiced its distaste over a mosque where men and women pray side-byside, saying it was incompatible with the principles of Islam.
