Three arrested for manhandling policeman
BATHINDA: Police have booked three persons of a family living in Nar Singh Colony under Sangat police station for allegedly manhandling a policeman on duty. ASI Jagsir Singh had gone to carry out investigation into a complaint filed against the family regarding drainage dispute when the family members allegedly tore his shirt. The arrested have been identified as Hemraj, his wife Pushpa Rani and daughterin-law Santosh Kumari. A case under sections 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty), 186 (obstructing public servant in discharge of his duty) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the IPC has been registered.
