Relative booked for raping girl

ROHTAK: A 12-year-old girl from Sonepat has accused her relative of raping. The complaint in this regard was submitted by victim’s father at the city police station on Monday evening, after which an FIR was lodged.

The victim’s father, who hails from Uttar Pradesh, is a daily wager in Sonepat. He said when he had gone to work on Monday his relative lured the minor victim and took her to his house, where he raped her.

The victim narrated the ordeal to her father when he came back to home.

Sonepat city police station SHO inspector Rajpal said a case of rape was registered against the victim’s relative, who is the brother-in-law of her mother’s sister, lived nearby. Accused is yet to be arrested.
