MAHA RAPE, ACID ATTACK SURVIVORS TO NOW GET ₹10L

-

MUMBAI: The Maharashtra government has decided to increase compensation for rape and acid attack survivors to ₹10 lakh. This compensation, however, will be for those survivors, who have meted with the most horrific acts of violence, including gangrape leading to physical and mental disability. The state cabinet on Tuesday took this decision to increase the compensation offered under the 2013 ‘Manodhairya’ scheme to provide financial assistance to the victims.
