AIJASS to meet in Rohtak on cases against Jat youths

HISAR: The All India Jat Aarakshan Sang harsh S ami ti( AI J ASS) Hisar unit president, Himmat Singh said that Ha ryan a government was not taking strong steps to withdraw cases registered against J at youth during the February 2016 stir.

Singh said AI J ASS has decided to hold a state-level meeting on July 26 in Rohtak to discuss the matter.

“We have started forming our committee of active J at leaders at the block levels and the work is on progress. So far we have formed committee in Jind, Panipat and J hajj ar district. And soon, a meeting will be held to form a group of leaders in Sarsod village under the Barwala block,” said Singh while addressing a press conference at J at D ha ram sh alain His ar on Wednesday.

Singh added that the block leaders will go to door-to-door and will hold talks with the 36 communitie­s and will invite them tor each R oh tak for the upcoming meeting.

“After February 2016 stir, the Haryana government ensured that the family members of those who died during the protest will get compensati­on and government jobs and proper treatment will be given to those who received bullet injuries,” ” said AIJASS state spokespers­on Rambhagat Malik.

It had also promised that it will look into the cases registered against the innocent Jat youths who have done nothing, but were booked by the police under various sections of the Indian Penal Code( I PC ). Compensati­on, treatment and government jobs have been provided by the government, but the state government is doing nothing on the issue of releasing those innocent youths ,” he said.

“We will decide on many other points during the meeting in Rohtak on July 26, and further course of action will be decided after the meeting and if need be, we will start stir again,” Malik added.
