GOT CLUES IN ₹8.8 LAKH LOOT CASE: POLICE

AMRITSAR: Police commission­er SS S riva sta va said police got clues in the case of snatching of a bag containing ₹8.8 lakh at gun point from a petrol pump employee here on Monday. Petrol pump employee, Narain Dass, was going to a nearby bank to deposit the cash when his bag was snatched by three youth at gunpoint.

Srivastava said the police are also looking into the complaint of two brothers who have alleged that am an threw chil li powder in their eyes and decamped with their bag containing ₹10 lakh on late Sunday night. Victims Harinder Singh Chh abra and Var inder Singh Chh abra said the incident took place on Sunday outside an eatery where they were having dinner in their car.

Harinder Singh Chhabra said that they had come to the city to collect their business-related payments and had stopped at an eatery for meal. HTC
