NO LOGIC TO CONG PROTESTS OVER ‘INDU SARKAR’

One can understand why the Congress party and its workers are up in arms against film director Madhur Bhandarkar’s perioddrama movie “Indu Sarkar”, based on the Emergency. One never imagined that B hand ark ar would dare to touch the hyper-sensitive issue of Emergency, the Congress party’s Achilles heel. There is no reason for Congress workers to stage protests or indulge in vandalism against the screening of this movie. Over the past four decades, a lot has been written and disclosed on the excesses of the Emergency. Heavens wouldn’t fall if a movie recreates what Emergency meant for the majority of the citizens.
