Man held for murdering wife, paramour

BATHINDA: A 33-year-old Mohala village resident allegedly shot dead his wife and her paramour after he found them in a compromising position inside his house on Friday morning. Police claim the accused Gurtej Singh saw the duo — Jaspreet Kaur 32, and her paramour Gurpreet Singh Gopi 33 — when he woke up early to fill diesel in generators. “Infuriated, he fired at both using a .12 bore revolver,” a police source said, adding that he surrendered after the crime. He has been booked for murder.
