Man held with countrymade pistol in Gurgaon

GURGAON: The Gurgaon police on Thursday night arrested a man in Sector 56 who was allegedly involved in six house theft cases and was planning another, police said. He was produced before the city court and sent to judicial custody for 14 days. During questioning, the man, Arif from UP, revealed that he had conducted a recce of several houses he planned to strike, police said. They added that they had got a tipoff that a man involved in several thefts was roaming around Huda park in Sector 56. Teams from the crime investigation agency and Sector 40 police then reached the spot.
