Ambulance for cows in Chhattisgarh soon
RAIPUR: The BJP-led government in Chhattisgarh has decided to provide ambulance service to injured cows as part of its gau sewa mission.
Chief minister Raman Singh announced the plan at a programme organised by Raj ya G au Sew aA yo g on Sunday, where he said the project will take off in 10 districts in the next few months. Singh also stressed on applying ‘panchagavya’ in daily life.
‘Panchagavya’, or panchakavyam, is a concoction prepared by mixing five products of cow and is used in traditional Indian rituals. The three direct constituents are cow dung, urine, and milk, while the other two — curd and ghee — are derived products. These are mixed in proper ratio and allowed to ferment.
The CM said to increase the credibility of panchagavya, better branding should bed one with scientific proofs and it should be then launched in the market.
SinghsaidKa md he nu University will undertake are search project to study the usage of panchagavya. The university, established in 2012, offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the areas of veterinary and animal sciences.
The chief minister, who was the chief guest at the event, also expressed concern over increasing mechanisation in farming.
“The bovine-based economy should be encouraged with the usage of gobar gas and organic farming,” he said, informing the gathering how the organisedgau sewa had resulted in the bovine population reaching 90 lakh.
