SIRSA : Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) leader and Sirsa MP Charanjeet Singh Rori’s 23-year-old nephew allegedly committed suicide on Tuesday by hanging himself from a ceiling fan at his residence at Rori village in Kalanwali sub-division nearly of the district.

The reason behind the suicide is not known yet. The deceased’s family has not filed any police complaint yet.

Reports said the victim, Sewak Singh, son of MP’s younger brother Roop Singh, went inside to prepare tea for construction workers. When he did not return for a while, a labourer knocked at door which was locked from inside.

Then the labourer peeped inside from a windowpane only to find Sewak’s body hanging from a ceiling fan.

The labourer immediately informed the family about this. Sewak, who studied at Punjab’s Mandi Gobindgarh and Chandigarh, was now helping his MP uncle. Rori police station in-charge Shiv Narayan Sharma said they have not received any complaint regarding this yet. “We will start probe once we get information.”
