PROTECT THE COW, DON’T GET VIOLENT

We need a strong system to tackle violence in the name of the protection of the cow. For those who really love the animal and consider it as their mother, the way forward has to be the construction of more veterinary hospitals in rural areas and wellequipped shelters. For all practical purposes, our highways, cities and mandis are full of cows, where no one cares about them. Yet, we have lynching incidents and killings in the name of the cow. Why there is no reaction when people are killed are killed due to stray cattle? Are cattle immune to injury? Ravinder Singh, Zirakpur
