Fever, not Maoist attacks, killed more CRPF men

NEWDELHI: More CRPF personnel die due to viral fever such as malaria or dengue, heart attack, depression and suicide than from Maoist bombs and bullets in Left wing extremism (LWE) affected areas. Minister of state for home Hanraj Ahir told LS that between 2015 and 2017 (till now), 219 CRPF personnel died because of heart attacks.
