Conviction in stalking cases low, says Ahir

NEWDELHI: Police have been registering more cases of stalking but the conviction rate has remained abysmally low, the data for the last three years gathered by the Union home ministry shows. Minister of state for home Hansraj Ahir, in a written reply in LS, said ‘police’ and ‘public order’ are state subjects.
