Shabir Shah’s ED custody extended
NEW DELHI: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) was granted custody of Kashmiri separatist leader ShabirShah for one more day by a Delhi court on Wednesday.
Shah was presented before the court on the expiry of his sevenday custody. Sources in ED said that the agency’ s director, Ka rn al Singh, was likely to interrogate Shah in person.
The Leader of Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) was arrested from Srinagar on July 25 of this year in connection with a money laundering case dating back to 2005. Official sources said Shah has so far denied his role in money laundering prompting ED to dig out details of the properties owned by him and his wife.
