By 2020, 96% of cellphones in India will be domestically manufactured

India’s domestic mobile manufacturing industry is projected to reach ` 135,000 cr by 2019-20 from ` 94,000 in 2016-17, a new report has said. Phones are central to the government's plans for Digital India, which will also further aid demand for cellphones in the world's second-largest smartphone market, the report added.
