Pesticide assn protest enters Day 2 in Muktsar

MUKTSAR: Pesticide and Seed Fertilizer Association in the town continued its protest against the agriculture department. Shutters were downed in Muktsar and Fazilka on Saturday. The department has launched a crackdown against spurious pesticides after 24 of 34 samples failed tests. Daljeet Singh Randhawa, president, Bharti Kisan Union (Quadian), said “Why take samples now? Farmers have already used the chemicals.”
