Muktsar man held for caging national bird

MUKTSAR: Jaswinder Singh Jassi of Harike Kalan has been booked for caging a peacock and a peahen inside his house. On a tip-off, a team from Wildlife Crime Control Bureau and a forest range officer recovered the birds. Jassi is the husband of the sarpanch. A case was registered under Wildlife Act. Jassi is in judicial custody.
