Bike thief held, 9 vehicles recovered

AFTER GOING THROUGH THE CCTV FOOTAGES OF THE AREA, THE COPS IDENTIFIED THE ACCUSED AND ARRESTED HIM

SBSNAGAR: The city police said that they have arrested a bike thief with the help of CCTV( closed circuit television) cameras and seized nine stolen bikes from his possession.

The accused is Gurjeet Pal, 30, of Koom Kalan village in Ludhiana. Station house officer (SHO) Raj Kumar said, “On August 10, A jay Kumar of Ku lam Road, said that his TVS bike was stolen by an unidentifi­ed thief from outside Kumar Bakery near Chandigarh Chowk.”

The CCTV cameras installed near the area had captured the crime. “On the basis of the footages, we identified Gurjeet and arrested him ,” he said. Police team seized nine stolen bikes.

The accused will be produced in the court on Sunday.

A case under different Sections of the Indian Pen al Code( I PC) has been registered against the accused.
