24 dead as postpoll unrest erupts in Kenya
NAIROBI: Kenya National Commission on Human Rights, which monitors government institutions, said 24 people have been killed by police gunfire during protests since disputed elections on Tuesday. Protests erupted after opposition leader Raila Odinga alleged that the elections were rigged. The election commission, which announced President Uhuru Kenyatta as the winner on Friday night, has denied the allegation.
