4 booked for irregularities in coop society

MUKTSAR: Police have booked four people for irregularities in Harike Kalan-Smagh cooperative society. A case has been registered against society president Jaswinder Singh Sidhu, Gurnam Singh, Avinder Singh and Harpreet Singh on the complaint of Jaswinder Singh. In his complaint, Jaswinder said, “Jaswinder Singh Sidhu, president of the society, had withdrawn Rs 4.75 lakh under 19 fictitious names. After using the money, he returned the amount to the society without proper interest. Bariwala SHO Darbar Singh said, “We have booked the accused for fraud, conspiracy and other charges. They are on the run.”
