Delhi student kills girl for talking to other boys

NEW DELHI: A college student was arrested on Thursday on the charge of murdering a 17-yearold girl by squeezing his arms around her neck in northwest Delhi’ s Rohini. After the murder, Kapoor,18, allegedly sat next to the corpse for a few minutes and bolted.

Over the next 12 hours, he misled the girl’s parents and police.

“He urged her to accompany him to a nearby park to discuss personal issues. He brought her to the park on his motorcycle,” Rohini deputy commissioner of police Rishi Pal said.

In the park, Kapoor allegedly abused the girl for ignoring him and speaking to other boys.

Infuriated by his tantrums, the girl tried to walk away but Kapoor pulled her inside a narrow lane between two rows of buildings and assaulted her, police said. The body was found around 5.30 am on Thursday after Kapoor was put through sustained interrogation.
