ROHTAK: In what may add to the worries of the Congress high command, party ML AJai Tee r th Dahiya, who owes allegiance to the faction led by former CMBh upin der Singh Hooda, has threatened to goto any extent if the state ML As demand of removing state president Ashok Tanwar from his post is not met soon.

Jai Teerth Dahiya, the Congress MLA from Rai constitu- ency, made the statement in regards to the recent meeting between Prime Minister Narend ra Mo di and Hood a in the Parliament .“It was not just a formal meeting. When two leaders meet, they discuss politics. In the coming days, this meeting could result in new political equations,” Dahiya said.

He said that the BJP was anyways trying to make a pitch to J at leaders after facing a setback from the community in the state. He said all Congress ML As would follow Hooda in any step he takes.

“The Congress MLAs of the state had met party vice-president Rahul Gandhi and general secretary Kamal Nath earlier. Even Hood aji met Rahul Gandhi. We were all assured a change of guard in Ha ryan a Congress. But the party high command is humiliating us by not keeping its words. We hear Tan war making statements that he is not going to be removed,” said Dahiya.

The two major factions—one led by former CM Hooda and the other by state president Tanwar—had even violent ly clashed with each other last year in Delhi. Hood a, who enjoys the support of 13 out of 17 Congress MLAs in Haryana, has upped the ante to remove Tan war since then. However, the former CM never admits publically about the bickering with Tanwar. When asked, Hooda refuted his MLA’s claim saying, “It was an accidental meeting and has no political meaning.”
