ABUDHABI: After three consecutive draws, Indian GM Ha rik a Dronavalli bounced back with a win over CM Suleymanli Aydin of Azerbaijan in the seventh round of the Master’ s tournament of the Abu Dhabi International Chess Festival here. DELHI FOOTBALL PITCH CLOSED FOR U-17 WC
NEWDELHI: In preparation for the upcoming F IF A Under -17 World Cup, the main football pitch and warm-up area within the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium( J NS) has been closed down.
One of the six venues for the event, JNS will host preliminary round matches of Group H that include hosts India, Ghana, Colombia and United States of America. India will be allowed to practice at the warm-up ground. The Local Or ga ni sing Committee (LOC) and the All India Football Federation (AIFF) will take a call on that, said a SAI official.
ADVANI-LED CHENNAI STRIKERS LOSE
