Lodge FIR against Bajwa for sacrilege: Badungar to CM

PATIALA : Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) president Kirpal Singh Badungar on Tuesday condemned registration of case against Sikhs, including Akali leaders, over the Gurdwara Chhota Ghallughara row in Gurdaspur and demanded that an FIR should be registered against Congress MP Partap Singh Bajwa and others for hurting religious sentiments of the community.

Talking to mediapersons here on Tuesday, Badungar said it was unfortunate that the jathedar of Akal Takht was stopped from entering a gurdwara and Akhand Path was disrupted. He said the Congress always targets gurdwaras.

Hesaid Bajwaand others with the help of police desecrated Sikh religious places. He urged the CM to understand the gravity of the situation and act fast in the matter.

He said that attempts were being made to create religious tension in the state.
