REGULATORY BODY TO RAISE EDUCATION STANDARDS: CHANNI

BATHINDA : Technical education minister Charanjit Singh Channi said a regulatory body was being formed to raise the standards of education in government and private technical institutes. A meeting of vice-chancellors has been convened on August 25 wherein all the modalities will be worked out, said the minister. Channi was here to review the 11-day job festival at Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University. Talking to the media, he said that the regulatory body will not only check the academic aspect, but will also conduct thorough survey of infrastructure, qualification of staff etc of the government and private colleges and prepare a report.
