Medha Patkar gets bail, to be released from jail today

BHOPAL: Narmada Bachao Andolan (NBA) leader Medha Patkar was granted bail by Indore bench of high court on Wednesday, her lawyer Anand Mohan Mathur told HT. She was granted bail on the condition that she will not obstruct official work related to the Sardar Sarovar Dam project (SSP) oustees, Mathur said. Mathur said bail order was likely to reach Dhar on Thursday. “Medha Patkar will be released anytime tomorrow (Thursday) after the jail authorities get a copy of the bail order,” he said.
