The gurdwara trust head and ex-MLA Johar Singh had filed a writ-petition against former Punjab ministers Sewa Singh Sekhwan and Sucha Singh Langah and Aam Aadmi Party Majha zone president Kanwalpreet Singh Kaki on Wednesday.

As per the petition, the accused persons had tried to forcibly take the possession of the gurdwaraon Sunday, while a legal trust headed by Johar Singh had been running it successfully since 1973.The court is likely to issue notices to Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) secretary and three other accused for September 2, the next date for hearing of the case.

Akal Takht jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh had visited said the gurdwara, at the request of Sekhwan,L angah and Kaki, on Sunday.

Meanwhile Johar clarified that he will not comply with the diktats of Akal Takhtjathedar as he considered Giani Gurbachan Singh as an ex-Akal Takht jathedar after he was removed by the Sarbat Khalsa gathering held at Chabba on November 10, 2015.

Mean while, the three-member committee was formed by parallel Akal Takht jathedar Dhian Singh Mand visited the gurdwara and reviewed incidents of past 12 days. The committee will submit its report to Mand.
