Vipassana appears before Sirsa police SIT, grilled for over 3 hrs
SIRSA : Dera Sacha Sauda chairperson Vipassana appeared before police to join investigation relating to the disappearance of Honeypreet Insan, daughter of rape convict dera chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim, on Monday.
She reached the HUDA police post in the town at about 2.40 pm, where a special investigation team (SIT) formed by Sirsa police headed by Dabwali DSP, Kuldeep Beniwal, questioned her. She came out of the police station around 6.20pm.
SIT in-charge Kuldeep Beni- wal told HT that Vipassana had told police that Dera Sacha Sauda chief’s daughter Honeypreet visited Sirsa on August 25,.
“Vipassana said that since then, she had not received any call from Honeypreet and they were not in touch,” Beniwal added. “We have asked her to keep her mobile on so we can call her for further investigation.
“We also asked her if she knew the whereabouts of Aditya Insan, Pawan Insan and other members of dera management who have gone into hiding. She told the investigation team that she is not in contact with them and they are hiding after Panchkula violence,” he added.
She told the police that she had recently visited Gursar Modia in Sri Ganganagar of Rajasthan to hand over some important documents to Jasmeet Singh, son of Ram Rahim.
Vipassana said that Dera Sacha Sauda chief’s adopted daughter Honeypreet visited Sirsa on August 25 and she has not received any call from her since then. KULDEEP BENIWAL, SIT in-charge
