PRTC buses off Bathinda roads as staff protest

BATHINDA: Drivers and conductors of city buses of Pepsu Road Transport Corporation (PRTC) and buses on local routes in Bathinda depot on Wednesday observed a strike against private mini bus operators plying buses without permits and the highheadedness of their staff. Ram Singh, a leader of the employees, claimed, “Private mini bus operators are harassing PRTC bus staff. The police and the administration do no act even when PRTC buses are vandalised.” PRTC drivers and conductors have said they will keep Bathinda interstate bus terminus closed on Thursday by not letting any bus enter or leave.
