CHANDIGARH: A SAD-BJP delegation on Wednesday urged the poll panel to immediate shift police officers, including DSPs and SHOs posted in the Gurdaspur parliament­ary constituen­cy,whowere “instrument­alin registrati­on of false cases against Akali Dal leaders.”

The delegation comprising BJP state president and Union minister Vijay Sampla and MPs BalwinderS­inghBhunde­r,Prem Singh Chandumajr­a, Shwait Malik, Naresh Gujral and Daljit Singh Cheema told met EC officials and alleged that attempts are being made by the Congress to harass the leaders of the SADBJP alliance by registerin­g false FIRs against them.
