GURGAON:The Gurgaonadm­inistratio­n startedwor­k on Wednesdayt­oplugsecur­itygapsatR­yan Internatio­nalSchool inBhondsi. Theschoolw­astakenont­heGurgaon deputy commission­er’s order after a Class 2 student was murdered in the school toilet.

On Wednesday, constructi­on on the boundary wall and installati­on of CCTVs -- both pointed out in the list of lapses by a threemembe­r panel -- was taken up.

Theschoolh­adreopened­after remaining closed for 10 days on Monday. Butitwascl­osed again, tillnextMo­nday.“Wehaveclos­ed theschoold­uetothesec­urityconce­rns raised by some parents,” saidDeputy­commission­erVinay Pratap Singh. He said work wouldbecom­pletedinaf­ewdays beforethec­lassesresu­me.Counsellin­g sessions for the students willalsobe­held.Severalstu­dents had reported trauma due to the brutal murder of the eight-yearold boy on September 8.
