Four killed in J&K road mishap

JAMMU: Four people were killed when their car met with an accident on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway in Ramban district, on Wednesday.

Giving details of the accident, a police officer said, “The car was on its way from Banihal to Jammu. It veered off the highway at Kela Morh in Ramban and fell into a gorge.”

The accident occurred around 2:35 pm.

He further informed that there were four people in the car, including the driver, and that all of them died on the spot.

The police later launched an operation to retrieve the bodies.

Informatio­n about the identify of the deceased was not known at the time of filing the report.
