272 boxes of illicit liquor recovered in Bathinda

BATHINDA: Police have recovered 272 boxes (3,264 bottles) of smuggled country-made liquor and booked three unidentified persons under the Excise Act. A police party stopped a truck (RJ-GA-0683) near Marhi village on Saturday, but the occupants fled leaving the vehicle behind. Cops checked the truck and recovered the bottles packed in plastic bags.
